The evolution of this series was constant and regular. with many models every year. Some developments. such as the longest focal length. seem to be more of a marketing gimmick than a response to a need. IS means that the lens is stabilized. HS corresponds to a noise reduction system appearing with the DIGIC 5 processor. HS cameras are also stabilized.

Here is finally the camera that, at least on paper, combines the most versatile features of the series. It has a stabilized zoom from 28 to 336 mm, a 12 MP sensor, and a 720p video mode. And all this for 310 euros! Its understated design is also elegant.
